RobertE Posted December 6, 2014 Author Report Posted December 6, 2014 I got 50$ it is a slick mag. For some reason, slick impulse mags are failing pretty regularly. Quite right. In fact my mechanic recommended an overhaul rather than new due to the poor quality of Slick post purchase by Champion. Quote
jetdriven Posted December 6, 2014 Report Posted December 6, 2014 Yep. We just had a 172R In the shop. It had 200 hour since new slick mags on it. At 100 hrs it wouldn't start, they changed te harnesses, the plugs, all at great expense and at 200hr we got it. Slick mag failure. Wouldn't make a spark. For about 300$ more you can put Bendix 1200s on there and solve the mag problem for good Quote
