Cabanaboy Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 I was going to buy some new ones as well and thought I would try restore them. Mine came out looking brand new and was pretty easy. www.walmart.com/ip/Turtle-Wax-Headlight-Lens-Restorer-Kit/16927980 If you want new you these guys have them, but try restore first. http://www.glapinc.com/cart/index.php
Bob - S50 Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Another place to get a kit to restore the plastic is at Griot's. http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/headlight+restoration+kit.do?sortby=ourPicks Bought their kit for my F150 lens that had yellowed. Everything you need is in the kit. They have you wet sand the plastic with a very fine sandpaper then dry. The lens will look milky. They you spray it with a can of epoxy? acrylic? that comes in the kit and the lens turns clear. Other than the time it took to mask off the headlight to do the spraying, it only took about 10 minutes/side. Bob
Mooneymite Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Try a dab of toothpaste and a liberal dose of elbow grease....
