devildog Posted October 17, 2013 Report Posted October 17, 2013 I finally tracked down and bought most of the parts I need to add the Brittain Accutrack 2 and Accuflite to my 1968 M-20-F Mooney. I sent them to the Brittain folks and they are ready for install but I need to find a servo control valve and a directional gyro. They say the directional gyro I need must be a Edo-aire or equivalent 4000-D, 502A unit. If you have one of these or know of someone who does I can sure use the help.I am located in Las Vegas. Quote
KSMooniac Posted October 17, 2013 Report Posted October 17, 2013 You might post a want ad over at Beechtalk.com too as a lot of old Bonanzas used Brittain systems as well. I see components for sale from time to time there. Quote
yvesg Posted October 17, 2013 Report Posted October 17, 2013 Did you check with Brittain if they have the Servo control valve? Yves Quote

I may have a 4000 series SigmaTek unit that may work. Let me get the model number for you and see if they can tell you if it will work. Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted October 17, 2013 Report Posted October 17, 2013 What you need is a DG with a heading bug for autopilot. There are usually plenty on EBAY. Quote
Marauder Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 This is what I have. As removed from plane when the Aspens were installed. It was used with am STEC AP. Quote
N601RX Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 The C will not work, it has to be a D at the end of the pn. Quote
Marauder Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 The C will not work, it has to be a D at the end of the pn. Well that solves that mystery... Quote
devildog Posted October 18, 2013 Author Report Posted October 18, 2013 I called the folks at Brittain and they confirmed that the DG should be a G-502A or 4000-D to work best with the Accuflite. It looks like a fellow Mooneyspace member has a unit that might work. I emailed a copy of the picture he sent to me to Brittain this morning and intend to buy it if Brittain confirms that it will work. If it does not work out I will also try the Beechcraft site. Quote
