The South East Regional Fly In is next month in Evergreen, Al.  Usually about 300 plane show up on Saturday.  Is there any interest in a Mooney get together?  Camping is allowed and there is also a shuttle to the local hotels if anyone wants to spend the night. They usually have a wings event on Friday night. There is food onsite.

It seems we have about 15 regular members who are within easy flying distance.

Sounds interesting I'm planning on going to Talladega the weekend before why not two weekends in a row in AL.  I think I’ll try to be there Friday for the bonfire and then camp out leave Saturday sometime after the fly by.

I flew to SERFI once many years ago...it was a fun day trip from Atlanta.  I would probably just come down for the day on Saturday but will keep it in mind.

Last year, ours was the only Mooney on the field, the weather was marginal VFR which resulted in a somewhat subdued event. Previous year, I don't recall seeing any Mooney's. I flew the LongEZ in thinking that it would be a chance to see some Mooney's.......not!

My appraisal is that Mooney aircraft have been woefully underrepresented at this event

That's close to home.  Wish I could make it, but I'm heading down to New Orleans to catch some redfish.
