It's awfully had to predict the future.

You call? As for my engine, I am confident with the guys on my own home field for general information regarding keeping it in good shape because these same guys work with Cape Air which flies the Cessna 402 and that particular aircraft uses the TSIO520VB which is oh so close to the TSIO520NB in our rocket that came from the Cessna 340/414. I have used AirMods in NJ, and Dave is a magician - he can do anything - he REALLY knows Mooney. I would definitely use him if he were closer. Come by and visit sometime! E

WELL - glad you asked! I would HIGHLY recommend Atlantic Salmon fishing on the Miramichi, New Brunswick ME - fly fishing for 45-55 inch salmon - that's a fight. Airport CYCH. There's a number of great hunting/fishing lodges along that river (needs to be guided), and we stayed several times at one that Ted Williams the baseball player used to like to go to apparently. Best time is shortly after ice-out - like 3rd or 4th week of April. Northern Michigan is nice fishing - UP - like Marquette Airport. And area. Several great places in Maine. Of course - fly fishing is fantastic right here - Adirondack region in so many places. We would drive or fly to - sometimes like a 10 min flight (12) to Lake Placid and you can literally fish off the end of the runway. Bethel Maine is like that too. So many more - send me a pm query!

Nice! My youngest son is a big fly fisherman - and this has developed into a parallel play complimentary hobby for us since he was young. He picks a cool place to fish, and I find the airport nearby and we fly there and fish. I call it FLY fishing. Complimentary symbiotic hobbies. He works for the epa now, in water management.

I KNOW right? ! I mean when it first started, I rolled my eyes and I was like, this one is going to tumble into a hate fest and eventually get locked. Instead I am looking forward to playing the Uncle-lottery and then Jackie Stewart will be my new cool Uncle when I win! -

They are sort of clowns that take risk and we all watch with glee and horror. That is part of their sell. But now they are old men and their reactions are slow and I just cringe. I would sooner they not take those risks and just be silly and show us cool cars. In that same episode they broke a car through lake ice and then saved it with a cool trick with logs. That seemed kind of staged though since they had all the equipment ready to start saving it. Otherwise I would say that was very risky too. -

Clearly I don’t know much about car racing or the helmets. I saw that accident James May was in - agains a cave wall. That was scary. I wonder if those guys are getting too old - reaction times/focus etc to be doing the kind of driving they do for the show. -

That was such a fun show. I saw that episode back when. I would get scared driving that car at 250mph even on a special track. (Not that I wouldn't do it if someone tossed me the keys and I was at that special track for the day!) I think James Maye wearing that old school racers helmet with a built in visor and no chin cover - in the style of a speed racer cartoon - was just for cinematic show to make him look more like a race car driver since I don't think that helmet would have done much good if he had gone ahead and lost control and crashed at 250mph. I always thought it was funny they called him Capt Slow because clearly he was sensible, but also had all the skills of the other professional drivers on the team, and also he is a pilot so used to following procedures. -

I saw a Vyron on display in a Mall in Berlin. I looked nice. I think the cost of the car makes the cost of the fuel seem like its free. -

That sounds right. I remember reading about the Bugatti Vyron a few years ago - it was something like the 1200hp model and in the article it mentioned running full speed on the German race track at well over 200mph it would run through its fuel tank in 6 or 7 minutes - or something like that. -

No cheddar. My wife makes absolutely the best apple pie - she uses lots of high end cinnamon and also she uses just a tiny bit of sugar so its not particularly sweet. Mmmmmm. -

Well - people think I named my airplane, N314EB the pi plane because I am a math professor and I like the number pi. Except I really like apple pie. So maybe it is really a pie plane? But it is Halloween season so maybe it should be the pumpkin pie plane. Except I am not so fond of pumpkin pie. Soooooo....maybe you will see me flying the pi-plane throwing pumpkin pies out the little window? Could be! -
Is it define by the order? Trace<Light<Moderate<Severe<Extreme. Anything beyond Severe is called extreme?

This is where Jose' use to pipe in to tell us about his fabulous pee tube that channeled straight out the belly. Ah I wish Jose' were still posting. Hope you are well friend. -
I've been thinking of doing this same upgrade. Do you feel comfortable of sharing what the cost of the upgrade was?

Well that must be aeronautical progress. I mean how many turtle strikes do airplanes suffer through every year? -

And what if you drop a banana out your window over the Atlantic and it falls on someone else's pilot window and makes a mess and they have to fly IFR the rest of the way across the Atlantic because of YOUR banana? -

ROP vs LOP - yours is an economic answer to a question I meant to ask in terms of epistemology. Epistimology: the theory of knowledge, especially with regard to its methods, validity, and scope. Epistemology is the investigation of what distinguishes justified belief from opinion. -

Indeed! In law - in the US law system, the standard of "proof" is a well defined thing that is briefed to a jury (speaking out of my area), and it is not at all necessarily the same thing as decision sciences based on statistical analysis, which is not at all the same thing other areas of science which may be statistically based, which is not all at all the same as mathematics areas based on axioms, even if there may be some overlap (think Venn diagram) between some of them. And even in law, as I understand it as a non lawyer, isn't there a different standard of proof based on the type of case. In criminal law, is it beyond a reasonable doubt. In civil law, its beyond the preponderance of doubt? But none of those are a correlation coefficient computed. In none of those typically is a counterfactual experiment designed. Anyway - ROP of LOP? -

But I again emphasize that a lot of science is not done statistically at all. Even though I think in medical science it is more common. And no one compute a correlation coefficient. Look through a telescope and see a sunspot and refuse to say there is a solar flare going on because I forgot to compute the correlation for the event. Run navier stokes equation in a computational fluid dynamics estimate for air flow over a wing and refuse to interpret the results since this is only one data point and so I can't compute a correlation. Tell you what- your comfort with making important decisions with incomplete information, in crisis moments - as a medical professional - your my kinda guy and I only hope I would have you on call if I ever need you!!!
