  1. None remaining as I couldn’t make any more than for the group per the FAA to comply with the regulations.
  2. If it did come apart or get damaged, as long as it’s shape is still there, I could have a new one rolled out of aluminum to replace it. Could be a good option if needed. David
  3. Hi Don, I spoke with LP Aero Plastics several years ago at Oshkosh and they said their windshields will fit. Maybe a little more trimming. They may have even told me that they supplied the windshields for SWTA. Worth checking with them. David
  4. Absolutely will. Thank you, David
  5. It’s killing me to take so long! Marauder is still first if he’s still wanting it when I get over my hurdles. Since I sold my Mooney a while ago, I didn’t have an airplane to fit parts to and prove my kits as I assemble them. I purchased a forward fuselage this spring along with an engine mount, prop hub, an spinner back plate. I’m waiting on O-360 crankshaft bearings so I can assemble the mock up engine and know that all my pieces fit correctly. I was hoping to find a used set of standard bearings as I don’t need airworthy parts. If anyone has any laying around and wants to part with them, let me know. The bearings are the last items I need to ensure my cowling fits correctly and then I can have the mold corrected. Still making progress, just way slower than I want to be. Thanks, David
  6. Bracket has been removed and ready to come your way. David
  7. You might be surprised on parts like this. Many others are like you say, not close. David
  8. I do have this part still installed in the K model fuselage I have. I’m willing to drill it out and sell it if that would work for you? David
  9. Not quite understanding what your asking here?
  10. Hi Becca, I was one of those people who wasn’t going to let my airplane go out of my hangar and to an unknown shop. I was more than willing to have the airplane opened up for inspection by the buyers mechanic. I had all the tools in my hangar to do all that needed to be done. I know that I shortened the buyers list by making that known but was ok with it. I was going to be certain that the airplane was reassembled correctly after the pre buy and not hurriedly put back together by someone I didn’t know. It was about the details and it’s safe to say, not all shops let alone an MSC pay attention to details. Maybe Hammdo will comment on this thread from the buyers perspective of how the sale went and the product he ended up with. David
  11. I do. E-mail sabremech@gmail for pricing. Thanks, David
  12. I believe the caps and flanges I installed are Newton Aero 200 series caps. It’s a nice easy mod to do and the FAA just asked for me to fill out a 337 for the next owner. Fuel caps are used on new production aircraft so no field approval required. David
  13. Let’s see if the 337 will post here. Here’s what I did for my ( Hammdo’s now) Mooney. Scannable Document on May 2, 2022 at 6_56_13 PM.pdf
  14. I have a mod I did to my C that put all new fuel caps and flanges in. I’ll post a copy of the 337 here tonight along with in the 337 archive thread. Might be an option for you. David
  15. I did exactly this when I sold my C model to Hammdo. I’m still heavily involved in aviation but now have little interest in flying anymore. I don’t have the mental want to anymore and the cost just reinforces it for me. Not looking back and enjoying other things in life. David
  16. Hi Don, you might. If the square drive is turned and not in line with the tool mounting surface, I would. Let me look at what I may have. The right adapters are hard to find. Thanks, David
  17. If it’s a click type ratcheting torque wrench, getting that exact happy spot is more difficult than a dial type with a second hand that stops when you do. I find I can focus on the movement then read what’s been recorded on the dial by the second needle. Mines not a ratcheting type so I need to have it positioned the way shown in the maintenance manual. Probably just a preference, but this is mine. Thanks, David
  18. I have new tools available and am working provide the adapter for each of my tools until the next run and I rotate the square socket. Thanks, David
  19. For the main gear, you can fill it up with fuel and / or have someone sit on the wing to compress them. Pretty easy that way. Nose takes the tool to get them compressed enough to re-install. I don’t think you can buy them directly from Lord, but doesn’t hurt to look and see if it’s an option now. David David
  20. The cheek panels are mainly for inspection but I’ll also have the option for louvers in that panel for say the turbo charged airplanes for additional air flow. I hope that it’s an optical illusion! It’s also not sitting all the way together and not tight to to firewall flange. Thanks, David
  21. Fitting continues. I feel as I have the front area solid now and am close to sending it back for the mold repair. Some final bodywork on my part and I’ll take it back for another set to be made. Baffling and induction systems to be worked on after I drop the cowling off. David
  22. Hi Don, I’m not sure yet. I do have to make some of the baffling and can’t use all of the kit so I need to weigh out the cost versus me just making them all. Thanks, David
  23. Engine mount and engine installed. Lower cowling clamped in place to study the fitting. David
  24. I finished getting my new Mooney ( fuselage) up on its new gear today. Engine installation coming and then on to baffling and new cowling fitment for the mold repair. David
  25. Good morning. I’ve been holding out on information so as to not seem to keep promising amid more delays. It’s looking up and I recently purchased a forward fuselage section so I can build up baffling sets along with fit cowlings as much as possible in my shop. Progress. Thanks, David
