Travis takes care of his Rocket! I’ve seen it in person numerous times. Whoever gets this airplane will have a sweet ride. Good luck with the sale and anyone feel free to PM me for an objective and outside view. Travis is a trustworthy owner! -Seth

Too bad you’re not in the mid Atlantic area. I’d be all for partnering on a twin out here! I need 6+ seats and an 800-900lb usedul load before fuel. -Seth

1983 Mooney M20J Missile 300 for Sale - $199,999
Seth replied to Seth's topic in Aircraft Classifieds
Maintained mainly at Freeway Mooney Service Center at W00. Though other shops have done some oil changes and avionics work. -Seth -
Again Big thank you to Rick as well. As Mike said he did ALL the big work. He and Mike are the main reason we had a Summit in 2022. We can't forget Ron and Ken Yale, but again, Rick did SO MUCH for 2022 to occur. -Seth

Also shows the LED lights all around. The nose bowl is a modified K cowling so it has two lights. I wired a separate three way switch so 1 light is the landing light and one is a pulsing on or off taxi light. I usually fly with the landing light on and the taxi light pulsing except at night when they are both on. -Seth -

Uodate: Check out the pics at this link: https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-pSbZXX Throttle knob and other areas were touched up, sections resprayed, and she looks great. the Seats in the back come out in about 1 minute and can both be individually reclined to different settings. The high back seats act as built in headrests. I have used leather conditioning treatment on the seats every six months. However prior to my ownership there was some wear on the front passenger and pilot seats. -
I did sell my first Mooney, a 1967 M20F right here on MooneySpace in 2011. -Seth

Where should I list my well maintained Mooney Missile for sale? It'll be Trade-a-Plane or Controller.com. The question is which? Barnstormers tends to be for not this type of aircraft. I could be wrong. I'm also not listing on Ebay, nor craigslist. So . . . Complete the Poll and also give me your thoughts. Maybe I'll do both, but I feel if you're looking for real, you'll check both websites. I'm already pre-listing it here on MooneySpace and will list it again officially when the time comes. -Seth

Deleted now that she's listed -
Hey Gang - It was my intent to be one of the players in the Summit from a leadership role, but with everything that's happened personally (happy to PM about it but you can also find it here) I just don't have the time between my careers (financial planning and flying for the airlines) and taking care of my family (7, special needs 5, and 9 month old) to give what's needed to run the Summit. We need new blood, and we've had great people run it in the past, including carrying it forward during COVID. I wish I could step up but simply cannot. It's why I passed the torch on in 2021/2022 to Rick who did an amazing job last year. I'll attempt to reach out to some people and see what we may be able to do. -Seth

I have an original Mooney Missile 3 blade aluminum spinner and backplate available for sale from when I changed props to the 4 blade MT. $1,000 or best offer. -Seth

I’m sorry your eyesight is failing. All aviators fear that day. I’m sure your Mooney will sell quickly. Good luck! -Seth

No glass - here’s the interior panel Aera 660 and 430w are interconnected. ADSB paints weather and traffic on both. See in next post at the bottom of the pics that have been flipped right side up -

201RF is the airplane that just crashed at GAI into power lines a few months ago as a heads up. That’s why it sounds familiar. I had an hour in that airplane and know people that had hundreds if not thousands of hours. There will likely be litigation over that and though you wouldn’t be liable, I’d stay away from that tail number for at least a few years due to the likely hassle. I always liked Nike’s corporate jet: N1KE I saw one with 889BB once -Seth

Don’t plan to have more kids. This birth was hard on my wife. Baby got stuck at the end and then needed to come out the window after 17 hours of labor. So she opened up and then had her abdomen cut. She couldn’t sleep in our bed for two months (thank goodness we have a power recliner/rocker). Not going to put her though that again, plus we lost two, and we’re done. We’re both past 40 now. So family payload outside of potentially carrying guests like grandparents, friends, etc will be for family travel: Husband, Wife, two daughters, son, and Au Pair or help (if needed down the line, but very much so now) for special needs son. Yes he can walk and get in and out of airplane, but he does have long distance mobility issues (low muscle tone - formerly ankle braces/AFOs now orthotics). I am not flying enough right now to justify single ownership - my business practices have changed with Covid and I’m flying for the airlines now, so I am getting plenty of flying in on a monthly basis. I do still want the ability to stay proficient in the six seater. I’m going to form a small group to own this aircraft. We have multiple clubs on the field with over 100 members between them, but no six seaters in those 10 or so airframes. Thus, I’m sure between them and others not part of the club I can find 2-4 other people who will want access to a six seater. I also have access to late model SR22’s on my field at a dry rate, so is the six seater is being used by someone else or down for maintenance, I’ll have access to fly if it’s not six seats I’ll need. With the sale of the Missile I’ll put the difference into an investment account (one of my two other businesses) and add to it over time for the purchase of the next bigger aircraft - the Cheyenne or Aerostar. So it’s back to: Single: A36, Saratoga, or Cherokee 6 (if the members are averse to retract). Twin: Baron B58 or Seneca III Thanks again! The Missile will be up for sale by the end of the month. If anyone is interested in getting before it goes on the market please PM me. Thank you for all the suggestions here and privately thus far! Keep them coming. -Seth
-
Just to catch up with Hank. That’s all! -Seth
-
That is correct. 300HP. And thank you Hank! I owe you a phone call. The Missile has some very impressive climb rates, especially when lightly loaded but still well when at max gross. I often climb at 120 knots to assist with cooling. -Seth
-
Thanks Erik! It's going to be a very bittersweet moment when I do sign it over to the new owner.

I have looked at the SF50 and have about 30 hours in them. The 135 I used to fly for has 6 now and I was thinking of paying for my own type rating and then asking to dry lease them a few times a year and keep the Mooney, but that’s not in the cards right now - maybe the future. I have access to SR22’s for now when I need them which makes the group six seat buy possible as when I don’t need six seats and if the six seater is used or down for MX, I can take an SR22. I do not want to own an SR22 after seeing first hand the amount of maintenance required on less than 5 year old aircraft (under warranty but still!!). I enjoy flying them and they have the best integrated avionics package by far, but I like the way the Mooney flies better (and Bonanza). -Seth

It is cool the coverage the final 74 delivery received. Good job by the PR team. -Seth

I have the original Mooney Missile spinner available. Please PM me if interested and we'll come up with an appropriate price. It is an aluminum polished spinner meant for the original three blade prop on the Missile conversion.. -Seth
