  2. No, you won't change my mind. I'm glad Dave didn't kill any Jews or burn the flag (self restraint is best), Jeff will take credit for his hateful-now-disdain discourse, and I'll continue to boycott Aljazeera, choosing my news elsewhere. Now, we're all happy?
  3. Thanks to Barry for posting the youtube link. I appreciate it. Jeff, no one is proposing hate of anyone. That is silly, and taking the conversation down to that level is not necessary.

  6. Dave, that is a good-looking panel. Well done!
  7. Though not a website, your friendly MSC. They have a good idea who wants to sell, value and condition of plane, habits of owner, etc. I bought my C model that way. Another friend got his J model from the same MSC.
  8. Good story, Ken. I've had a similar experience in a Seneca going to Atlanta. In cruise I hit my head on the roof so hard it broke the left ear cup of my headset. Like you, I thought I'd have neck troubles afterwards but I guess my headset absorbed the impact.
  9. Quote: Mac201 Joey Cole, Cole Aviation, MSC, is is Rome, GA. Just don't get him distracted before he finishes my annual!
  10. Curious - why isn't the airspeed needle sitting at zero? I had a similar situation with mine, and ended up having to replace it.
  11. Brandon, I did a major overhaul on my O-360-A1D with Gann Aviation (9A5), and have been pleased. Carlos does a good job, and was reasonably priced as I recall.
  12. Quote: zaitcev I still cannot understand how you guys manage iPad and Xoom in cockpit. Both are way big. I am more comfortable with Galaxy Tab. I guess I need to fly with someone who has a big tablet and observe.
  13. Jolie: Good article. Thanks for being an ambassador to G.A.!
  14. Another using Camguard with Aeroshell w80 (winter)/w100 (summer).
  15. Quote: 201Pilot My time is in the C and the J. I agree with Parker, the J definitely flies nicer than the C, but the C still isn't a bad ride at all.
  16. I love my C model. With it, I can afford to be an aircraft owner with reasonable speed/performance compared to other 180 HP, and keep costs within my budget. Moving up to a J or K would be affordable, but would limit money for other fun stuff.
  17. Quote: Amelia You looking for an airport dog? Land at Eufaula, Alabama sometime. KEUF has an airport DOG! She's a Newfie, well over a hundred pounds of Newfie. Mootsie may favor you with a gentle canine smile and an exhausted flop of her shaggy tail...
  18. We travel with our two Shih Tzu's frequently. They fall asleep shortly after take-off, and arise when we land. They are the perfect travel companions!
  19. Acronut, I run WOT (24" or below) and 2400 RPM in my 1966 C model. This is what was recommended by my MSC.
  20. Quote: skyking Holy cow Joile: How much junk can you fit in the back of that plane!!! i thought i was bad....LOL
  21. Thanks for the pirep, Jeff. I've been looking at one since the price dropped, but was concerned about the device sticking out too far and possibly getting damaged. Also, I wonder if there is an additional drain on the iPad battery with the b-elf plugged in.
  22. Flew to see the in-laws, and got back before the snow hit. Two-hr flight vs. a 6.5hr drive - priceless.
  23. Quote: KLRDMD Stan's Landing Light STC I have it on my current F model and put it on my previous C model too.[...]
  24. Quote: FlyDave I use Skyvector: http://skyvector.com
  25. Can't speak for the F, but my C model is perfect for single owner, one adult passenger, full fuel and full baggage. With our two dogs in the back, we have taken many trips coast to coast in it comfortably. I fly between 6-7,000 (higher if good tailwind), as my aircraft performs best at that altitude, burning about 10 gph. It is a great aircraft for the performance you get in a 180 horse engine.
