I just received a renewal notice for insurance on my 201. It went up again. What should a pilot with 6k hours total time with 1k in Mooneys expect to pay? My renewal is $2800. That seems high to me but maybe that is just how it is right now. The quote was with Global. Thanks!

Thanks- great doing business with you. Yes the price includes the transducer and switch.

Thanks Adam- I am amazed the new gear all works so well. I am running out of stuff to do on the plane though! Paint and interior in the future. Curt

Yep the servo is 900 not 9000! Sorry about that chief!! The trim servo came out of a 84 201 with a KAP 150. I attached two pictures of the servo. thanks!

Thank Clarence I appreciate your suggestion. The vent on my 84 201 appears to be only attached to the interior panel which is kind of wimpy. It is almost like it need a stiffener on the outside of the panel. There must be different vent combinations for different serial number 201 mine is 24-1443. It also has very low flow-close to worthless.

Don I have a working FT -101 with transducer , switch and wire for 70 bucks. I replaced it with a JPI 930. It worked perfect when it was removed a couple of months ago.

The air vent by the pilot knee on my 201 is not secured to anything but the interior piece it is mounted too. It hangs out from the side of the fuselage and hits my leg and us kind of loose . It also has lousy airflow. Does the vent take a special hose or it a just a piece of scat hose cut to length? How should it of been secured at the factory? July in Florida is not a good time for lousy ventilation. Suggestion are appreciated.

50 grand is just a number. The real reason I upgraded was for the improved safety. No more vacuum pump and much better autopilot with a blue button my wife can push if anything happens to me. -

Glen If you are ever visiting Vero Beach I would be happy to let you see what I did to my 201. I would be glad to fly it with you. I did a G3X, G5,750XI, GFC-500, 355 and already had a 345. If you kept your 530W and made the other changes I made you would be under your cash limit. Sebastian Communications did the install. They stand behind their work they were great to work with. Curt -
