  1. I think just the cert being a different domain is enough to trigger the stop.
  2. I think he may have let his web site certificates expire. My security software won't let me go there. I have a phone number so, if I needed him, I would try calling.
  3. I fear he may have timed out. At least there is the new KX-200 which I suspect King bought from some less fortunate company.
  4. But you think they would be okay digging holes two feet deep, and putting in concrete blocks?
  5. If you can get one on concrete, a hammer drill with a long bit and a concrete anchor will be easier than digging, and probably stronger. I would bet the concrete ramps are at least 6 inches thick.
  6. 177,000 on mine. Won't be long now.
  7. I assumed Maxwell was using the guy in Houston for complete re-seal jobs, but I forgot about the Monroy deal. He probably has a guy on staff now.
  8. I thought the go-to guy for a KX-155 was at kx155.com, but my browser complains when I try to access that site?
  9. If you are referring to the aft wingtip white NAV lights, apparently, the lamp and socket combination Mooney originally used is now difficult or impossible to get. The solution seems to be to replace the socket with an A507, and replace the lamp with an A508. Even if all other lamps are LED, many use an incandescent lamp for this because if 100% of your lamps are replaced by LEDs, it interferes with the gear indicator dimming circuit. Also, the incandescent lamps seem to last 20 years.
  10. I probably would if I knew him well enough to select a meaningful gift. It never hurts. This year I just gave him enough money for a new car. Not a very personalized gift, but still ...
  11. I know, but I have other things clamoring for attention and money.
  12. I like this idea -- way better than getting blown up.
  13. It's late in the day for me, and I'm too lazy to go back through all these posts, but I had it in my head that toluene was the bad one with regard to paint, so 5% is lower than the max for most of those 100LL SDS reports. I thought George was suggesting that UL might not be as hard on paint as LL based on the toluene percentage? This stuff is giving me a headache. Maybe tomorrow.
  14. Here is a fourth from Chevron that shows a wide range, but the upper limit is higher. I don't see the one George showed as misrepresenting the toluene in 100LL from a variety of manufacturers: https://cglapps.chevron.com/sdspds/SDSDetailPage.aspx?docDataId=431702&docFormat=PDF
  15. Here is a third one from ExxonMobile that shows a wide range, but the upper end of the range appears to be higher: https://www.msdsdigital.com/system/files/Avgas 100LL.pdf
  16. Here is another more recent SDS that shows substantially higher concentrations: https://www.epc.shell.com/DocumentManagement/BlobDocumentDownload?DocId=119466305
  17. I found one that shows identical concentration: https://www.aviation-fuel.com/pdfs/MSDS_for_AvGas_100LL_from_P66_dated_3-04-13.pdf
  18. I'd like to see those if you know where to find them.
  19. Have you seen other samples that would demonstrate that it's a outlier?
  20. You learn the darnedest things on MooneySpace. I find it interesting that the behaviour is also exhibited by great apes.
  21. Yours probably had a KG-102a in the tail at one time too. I just hate to fire that thing up when the temperatures are low. Also, it wouldn't hurt to warm up the batteries a little, although I can probably do that by plugging in the GPU overnight. Cabin heater is also on my list.
  22. Anyone think about or use some kind of pre-heat in the tail? I wish I had an easy to access door into the tail where I could stick a heater to pre-heat both the batteries and the gyro back there.
  23. See above.
  24. Or, if you are going to be in hospital for a procedure, tell them you are feeling nauseous, and ask them to bring 40 or 50 barf bags.
