  1. It’s probably your coupling on the standby alternator, I’ve had to replace mine a couple of times. Take the top cowling off and turn the prop by hand and see if the standby alternator is turning. Easy job and Spruce probably has the coupling.
  2. This only happens when using my iPad and iPhone, I have no problem using my laptop connected to my ATT internet.
  3. I'm using Verizon wireless and ATT internet and can't get on MooneySpace with either. I'm using Safari and it's telling me it can't open the page because the server can't be found.
  4. Does anyone have an idea of why I can't get the Mooneyspace forum on my iPad anymore? I think it may have happened a few weeks ago when I downloaded there software update.
  5. If your G1000 now shows 2700 RPM as a red line on its tachometer then I don’t think you need the E.I. tachometer any more. I removed mine after a software update years ago.
  6. I just renewed my aircraft insurance with D R Cox & Company (broker) and my insurance went up $1,800 this year. I’ve insured my 2005 M20R for the past several years with W. Brown and the only thing that’s changed is I’m a year older 73. I have approximately 6,400 hrs with commercial, instrument, single & multi land and have been flying Mooney’s for over 40 yrs. without an accident or incident. The carrier seemed to be responsible only requiring an IPC each year. After speaking with my broker I was informed that there are limited markets offering coverage for Mooney aircraft. Here’s a list of carriers that my broker received a response from: Aerospace - $2,000 higher than W. Brown Old Republic- declined Global Aerospace-declined Starr Aviation -declined USAIG - declined USSIC - pass Here’s the kicker a friend of mine has a 77 Beech A36 with approximately the same coverage and he’s a year older and less hrs and he just renewed his insurance for $2,000 less than me thru Global Aerospace.
  7. Slide them in through the baggage door and have someone help from the inside pull them up over the back seat head rest. Three sets go in easily, just pull the back seat head rests off and lay the two back seats down.
  8. I’ve used Western Union to send money overseas and it works well.
  9. I rotate at 62 when light to mid weight 67 when heavy. 310 hp
  10. Yeah my new iPad is an iPad Air 11” (M3) and it seemed to solve the problem.
  11. I have a G1000 with the 345R and always had a problem with my blue tooth connection on my iPad no matter what I did. I recently bought a new iPad Air about 2 months ago and after about 20 flights using my new iPad the blue tooth connection has NEVER disconnected on the iPad. The other thing the blue tooth connects automatically with the 345R whereas it never connected automatically with my old iPad. NOTE my old iPad blow up while on the charger one night luckily I had placed it on my granite countertop.
  12. Daytona Aircraft Services in either KDAB or 7FL6.
  13. Ivan, I got the “0” rings from Master Air Parts, inc. I spoke to Miguel Gomez (805)928-2929. If I remember right he just sent me a couple of “0” rings with the lube free of charge a few years ago. Buddy
  14. I’ve had that happen to me a few times when turning on my master and I have a G1000 but it stopped within a few seconds. Since it only happened a few times in the past 10 yrs I never looked into it.
  15. Yes you can disconnect the line on the valve and that will disconnect the pressure without emptying the tank. Make sure that the small O ring on the line does not get damaged before connecting the line back into the valve.
  16. Try leaving your mixture leaned out as you would when leaning during taxi. The one thing to watch out for when doing this is your RPM’s are going to be a little higher on landing.
  17. I used Custom Ducts (customducts@gmail.com) 603-239-2345 last year and they did a great job.
  18. From what I understand you should never use a screw gun or electrical device when removing the inspection cover under or near the magnetometer. I have had to replace the roll servo once and both my PFD & MFD other than that I am very happy with my G1000 in my 2005 M20R.
  19. Sounds like fun I’m in. I might change my mind… ForeFlight comment section - KPGD $15 landing fee and $75 overnight fee.
  20. Sorry the screen shot was not clear but the FF was 11.6
  21. I just replaced my MFD - GDU1040 with an overhauled unit from Garmin although for a different reason and the cost was $3,014 plus $37.50 for freight.
  22. 2005 O2 has everything but TKS. Flying at 15K, OAT -1, ROP, WOT, 2,400RPM. 169 kts TAS
