Triple Tree Aerodrome (SC00) located near Woodruff, SC will be hosting its 7th annual fly-in Sept. 4-8. Triple Tree is a true "Aviator's field of dreams". It offers a 7,000x400 ft. unbelievably smooth grass runway, two stocked fishing lakes, six miles of walking trails, spectacular camping and bathhouses with private showers and granite countertops! There will be scheduled activities and time to just relax and enjoy your passion for airplanes while socializing with other like-minded people. There will be dinners by the lake and bands and BBQ! Too straight for a golf course and no sand but what do I know I'm not a golfer. I fly airplanes.

Are you kidding?!!! I would rather ride commercial with the wife to visit her family in California and set around with them for a week!

Its for real...that grass strip is smooth enough for model aircraft as there is a model flyin every year...even a nose heavy bravo would have no problems...

I've been trying to make the annual RC event at Triple Tree. I'm going to try harder to make this event!

I'm going to try to make it if I can get my wife to lend me the $10 entry fee.

However, if the wx is good, I'm probably flying the Hatz, not the Mooney. That grass is just too inviting!
