Unfortunately we had a plane go down yesterday at the small airport where I keep my Mooney.  Most of Saturday evening was spent gathering information and looking for him.  We found him and his plane early afternoon today not far form the airport in the trees.  Not certain what actually happened other than was departing to the south yesterday afternoon and it was noticed that he had not returned and it was odd given the normal length of his flights and his dog was at his hangar.

very sorry for your loss, hopefully you'll learn from whatever occurred ...as in  Dr Moir loss we experienced grief and sadness but on our forum excellent knowledge was spread among us,

Sorry to hear about this accident. Also sorry to hear this is the second one from your aviation community.
