autoalain Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 Folks, I,m in Canada and no parts available here, I have shipping address in Massena N.Y. complete or parts would be great, also my rite bellcrank is bent and a new one required. Thanks Mike. Quote
KSMooniac Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 Do you have a part number for the bellcrank? I wonder if there is any chance it would be common with later models, and if so, I would have one in my salvage J. Quote
1964-M20E Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 While you are checking nubmers if the J one does not work I have a salvage 66 E model. Quote
autoalain Posted January 7, 2013 Author Report Posted January 7, 2013 Hi folks, the part number for bellcrank is 5031-2 (-2 is for right side) it is a triangle look part about 8 in by 7 in by 5in Quote
autoalain Posted January 7, 2013 Author Report Posted January 7, 2013 exact size is 6 3/4 in by 7 1/4 by 5 3/8 the 66 should be the same, if it is pls call 514-620-4900 or email to autoalain@yahoo.ca with your price please, thanks Mike Alain. p.s. I have paypal. Quote
KSMooniac Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 Looks like P/N 730023-001 for the J aileron bell crank. It works for either side, so I bet it is not a compatible replacement. Quote
autoalain Posted January 7, 2013 Author Report Posted January 7, 2013 Hi Scott, the bellcrank is for right landing gear, I should have been a little more alert in part description. 66 model s/b same . Quote
KSMooniac Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 Ah, there are lots of bellcranks! In my J manual I don't see one, though, but there is a triangular welded part called a "Truss Assy" with part number 520006-501/-502 that I believe might be the part you're after. I have no idea if it would be backwards compatible, though. Perhaps John's E part will have the same number. Quote
autoalain Posted January 9, 2013 Author Report Posted January 9, 2013 the truss assy is what I amlooking for, rite side, could you check it with the above measurments I supplied, and if it is the same , how much? thanks Mike. Quote
KSMooniac Posted January 9, 2013 Report Posted January 9, 2013 Mike, I'll make an attempt to do so on Saturday or Sunday when I go back to the hangar as it is still installed in the wing. It is supposed to be pretty cold here, though, and I may not be able to get it out if I can't stand being in the hangar for more than a short while, but I'll give it a try. Quote
SheryLoewen Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 The M20A Retract belcrank is different than later models. LASAR has four in stock. also the exhaust system with dual tail pipes. Paul Quote
