drapo Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 Hi guys, I really need to do something about my wheel well cover. Right now, it has a "potato pouch" like canvas covering the whole thing, and I would like to know if there is a plastic or carpet that can cover it up. Any suggestions ? Here's a photo of the ugly thing...
MooneyMitch Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 Hi ya drapo. I covered Jolie's wheel well with carpet.....cut and glued to fit! There are a couple of shots of it in our [mooneygirl and mitch] Photo Galleries. Looks pretty good I think.

AmigOne Posted August 4, 2012 Report Posted August 4, 2012 Why can't you just remove away the hanging fabric and paint the plastic ? You will have to jack up the airplane to remove it from the airplane but I think that the painted look is also nice. You could also paint the Johnson bar with the same color. See my ww cover.
carusoam Posted August 5, 2012 Report Posted August 5, 2012 +1 for the AirTex solution. The new carpet look was better than the original potato sack look. Not very expensive either. New carpets and lower side wall too. This was done a decade ago for my 65C... All in FAA compliant materials. -a-
