Tommooney Posted December 3, 2025 Report Posted December 3, 2025 I would appreciate recommendations on annual inspection shop recommendations in Western usa. Former MSC shop changed ownership and new shop wont work with Savvy, which I like using. I don't see Mooneys at local airport shops CMA / OXR so looking elsewhere. Thank You
Brent Posted December 3, 2025 Report Posted December 3, 2025 Hi, SoCal neighbor. Schiff Aviation at L.A. Whiteman (KWHP) knows Mooneys. I have done both full-service and owner-assisted annuals there since 2017; not sure about the Savvy angle. I have also worked with a couple shops at Santa Paula (KSZP): Fuller Aircraft Services (helped me when I was stranded over there with a magneto wiring mystery) and Ray's Aviation (did some Garmin avionics work). 1

Niko182 Posted December 4, 2025 Report Posted December 4, 2025 I live in Denver, but gladly fly the 4 hours each direction to go to Brian Kendricks in San Marcus. Did it when I lived in orange county too. There is no one better than him for the modern Mooneys. Probably for the older ones too, but he does phenomenal work on my Mooney. He used to run the Mooney factory when Mooney still in the mid to late 2000s so he knows them like the back of his hand. I know its not close, but in my experience, its worth the flight there and back.
