TGreen Posted August 16 Report Posted August 16 On the MFD of a first gen G1000 (year 2006), map chapter, weather page: can you change the orientation from north up to track up? If so, how?

If so, how? If you push menu there don’t you get a map setup option? If so, id look through that. Often the settings for north/track depend on what size map you select. The G 1000 I use is on a different airplane and a little newer though, so certainly could be different.

If so, how? I just overlay the weather on the 1st page of the map the way I want it oriented. That way the Nexrad shows up in relation to the magenta course. The dedicated weather page doesn't show course. 2

When I have terrain on 1st page, I use the Weather Datalink Page for weather. Would like it to be in the same orientation as the page 1 moving map but not sure that's possible.

Away from my references and trying to remember this. I do the same thing, but also keep the wx page zoomed out. I like North up at larger scales, and I believe there's a setting to set a zoom threshold where it switches. Might check that as it could affect the display. 1
