toto Posted December 24, 2024 Report Posted December 24, 2024 I don’t think it’s possible to do this in Invision, but I’m not sure. It would be great to merge the three active G100UL threads into one megathread - it’s the same topic, with mostly the same contributors, but it’s getting a little bit hard to follow. Quote
Marc_B Posted December 24, 2024 Report Posted December 24, 2024 Perhaps create an Alternative Fuel forum and move them all there to make it easier? Quote
toto Posted December 24, 2024 Author Report Posted December 24, 2024 I didn’t mean to suggest this as an alternative to the “Alternative Fuels Forum” suggestion. I think it would be good to have a G100UL megathread even if it’s in a separate forum. I’m subscribed to all of the G100UL threads and it’s getting kind of crazy. Quote
201Steve Posted December 26, 2024 Report Posted December 26, 2024 Now THAT would be hard to follow. It’s the same conversation 5 times. Some guy has paint problems, George Braly says no you don’t, some other guy does some garage tests who also finds paint problems, one of the airports selling it mysteriously stopped selling it, some Mooney pilots want to go see George in Oklahoma, nothing is resolved, that’s about it. 1 2 Quote

Yeah, the key thing is to force the conversation to the one thread. It becomes really nuts when each thread continues on its own and people keep repeating the same discussion points separately. Quote
Lionudakis Posted December 27, 2024 Report Posted December 27, 2024 I was hopeful but.. My twin brother in SanMartin CA was one of the first to get the STC on opening day there. 1 flight after mulitple failed start attemps, and one engine sputter and quit on taxi, and a ruined fuel tester. He drained it all, went and got some good ol 100LL and hasn't has a problem since, just like before. Quote

They had issues with the underground tank and were unable to fill the truck. That was fixed and sales are back on. Quote
