Hey there. Question guys. Does the fuel pump gear have timing marks? If it does, I cannot detect any. 

I told them to scribe the gears before removing, but that didn't happen. Grrrrrr. 

O-320 carbureted, 160hp. Engine being inspected because of a prop strike. SB/AD in hand. :) :)

I'd have thought so, but the overhaul manual should say.    The Lycoming direct drive overhaul manual is available free online.

I have no knowledge, but I can not imagine why a water pump would need to be "synced" to anything.

The gear on the other side of it drives the cam.  ;)

Had to go look, since something seemed funny.   Below is the diagram from the overhaul manual for "typical 4 cylinder" engines.    The fuel pump gear should be marked as shown.    I don't think the phase of the fuel pump cam matters, but it does look like it should be marked.
