Hello,

New here, and to Mooneys. Looking to buy a plane, primarily looking at vintage Mooneys. Any owners in South Carolina, possibly near Charleston, that I can meet for a look? Checking primarily for size. Mostly convinced that I'll fit fine, but need to check anyway.

Thanks.

Al Mooney was a tall man, and he built himself an airplane. If you're worried about gross weight or pilot circumference, just stagger the seats to prevent shoulder bumping. If you are vertically challenged, the seat slides really close to the panel. Most people fit just fine--I'm 5'11" and can wear most any hat inside except a tall, conical wizard-style hat.

Actually, that would probably fit as long as you aren't much over 6'. Of course, it depends on how much of your height is legs. Plenty of height above my hat here.
