My screaming eagle has an oil temp problem. Climbs to 220 during a cruise climb at 145 then settles to 206-209 at cruise. Just had an annual and baffling checks ok. Vacuum system was removed from air oil separator. .engine starts and runs fine . Cht on number 5 cyl 390 jpi. While moritz cyl reads 409. Any ideas? Chts come down to normal at cruise. Thanks .

Pretty hot CHTs. I rarely get over 370 in the climb and over 330 in cruise. Oil temp is usually 195 in the climb and 178 in cruise. I live in GA near Hotlanta.  I would look real hard at baffle seals, using the light in a dark hangar method. I bet you have some leaks. Also on oil temps, the connection from the sender to the panel, mine uses to "knife type" or "handshake" connecters. I find these get dirty resulting in high oil temp numbers. Clean them with contact cleaner periodically.

Look again at your timing.  If it is a tad too advanced, the heads will go hot.  I found this out when replacing one of my mags with a new electro mag and the mx got the timing too far advanced.  Brought it back 2 degrees and is much better now.
