Fix Posted March 5, 2023 Report Posted March 5, 2023 Hi, Been looking on a Ovation and Bravo and know that the wrong Gear Actuator could be expensive to change if there is no Spring available. How can check what version/brand it is. Mooney Ovation from 2000 and a Bravo from 2004. Quote
PT20J Posted March 6, 2023 Report Posted March 6, 2023 The only way to know for sure it to remove the belly and look at the label on the actuator. Quote
1980Mooney Posted March 6, 2023 Report Posted March 6, 2023 @Fix I see that you are in Sweden and suspect that the prospect planes are far from you. There is a small chance that they have been worked on previously and are listed in the Aircraft Log. I would guess that you already have access to the Logs. If not there, then the owner or broker needs to drop the one piece belly as @PT20J says and take a picture of the actuator data plate. Quote

Both of the Aircrafts have 1150 / 1500h. Is it OK to ask the seller/broker to remove belly to check what actuator there is, or this is something that is "extreme" to ask? Quote

It is only 8 cam locks to open and lower if I recall correctly He should answer any questions you have. 1 Quote
