Dale Posted July 12, 2022 Report Posted July 12, 2022 I have a damaged wing fuel tank gauge on the passenger side fuel tank. I have a 2007 Mooney Ovation 3. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a replacement. My shop says they are having a hard time finding one. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Quote
KSMooniac Posted July 12, 2022 Report Posted July 12, 2022 You can only order them through a Mooney Service Center. The vendor is still around, but they will not sell directly to us. Maxwell might have some on the shelf...he's usually my first call for parts. They're not terribly expensive, and they're just siliconed in place. The needle is driven by a magnet at the top of the sending unit inside the wing. Quote

Jeff_S Posted July 12, 2022 Report Posted July 12, 2022 Contact LASAR as well: http://www.lasar.com Quote
flyboy0681 Posted July 12, 2022 Report Posted July 12, 2022 I needed one a few months ago and couldn't find any in stock, not from Lasar and not from the factory. If you find a source please post it here so that I can stock up on a few. Quote
StevenL757 Posted July 12, 2022 Report Posted July 12, 2022 The factory has these on order, but they have not arrived yet. $130/ea. @Dale - I have two from my previous Ovation that are used (no damage or “ugly” wear or cracking to the inside or outside…just some slight fogging that happened to them both over time that I wasn’t happy with), and I decided to replace them before I sold that airplane. They are indeed serviceable, but might just need to be re-sealed somehow to prevent the fogging. If interested, just pay me for shipping, and you can have them no charge. PM me if interested.
