LANCECASPER Posted June 7, 2022 Report Posted June 7, 2022 If you have a 28v Mooney and your cigarette lighter adaptor puts out 24 volts and you need to run 12v items this adaptor will work . carusoam Posted June 8, 2022 Report Posted June 8, 2022 Early O1s get 24V delivered directly to the plug…. Surprise! Bravos up to the mid 90s probably get the same… Best regards, -a- Quote
Pinecone Posted August 2, 2022 Report Posted August 2, 2022 Anyone know if for sure if the 252 is 24 volts at the cigarette light? How do I order one of these? Quote
TX-Champ Posted August 12, 2022 Report Posted August 12, 2022 If you need to power USB devices from a 12 or 24V cig lighter socket, consider this one: https://www.pilotlights.net/dual-usb-dual-voltage-12-24vdc-ultra-fast-charger-48a Quote

How do I order one of these? Putting a step down transformer in the 24V long bodies came after the mid 90s…. The way to know for sure if your plane is 12 or 24V at the cigarette lighter… is to put a volt meter in the cigarette lighter… Or check the WnB records to see what is installed… Or recognize the transformer in the tail cone…. Pretty easy to just measure what comes at the socket… If you want to add the transformer to an existing plane… not too hard to do that too…. Most modern devices in aviation are capable of taking 24V too…. (Read the details of the device) Many car and truck products use 24V for the same reason planes do… PP thoughts only, -a- Quote
Pinecone Posted August 15, 2022 Report Posted August 15, 2022 Thanks. 86 K 252. So I figure 24 v, but will check. Wondering if I need to return the B-Cool for a 24v model. 1 Quote
