67 m20F chump Posted March 15, 2021 Report Posted March 15, 2021 Anyone ever replace the Torrington pn-4a bearings on the aileron? I’m having a hard time finding them. thanks, Chump
TTaylor Posted March 15, 2021 Report Posted March 15, 2021 Assume you checked this: https://lasar.com/hardware-bearings/bearing-torrington-pn-4a Do you have the Mooney part number? you might try that with McFarlane: https://www.mcfarlaneaviation.com/products/product/MS24462-4/ 1
PT20J Posted March 15, 2021 Report Posted March 15, 2021 LASAR shows stock. They're made by RBC now so try Googling RBC PN-4A. Also, you might want to double check -- I'm pretty sure that the ailerons use PN-3A, but I could be wrong. Skip
67 m20F chump Posted March 15, 2021 Author Report Posted March 15, 2021 I think 3 is on the tail. I read the 4 on the bearing. The ones at Lasar are $77. I was hoping I could find them for less. 1
JimB Posted March 15, 2021 Report Posted March 15, 2021 How about Amazon.... https://www.amazon.com/Torrington-TORRINGTON-USA-PN-4-A/dp/B00DBP0PPQ
67 m20F chump Posted March 15, 2021 Author Report Posted March 15, 2021 Thanks Jim. I have 6 on the way.
A64Pilot Posted March 18, 2021 Report Posted March 18, 2021 Surely people realize that Amazon does not sell aircraft parts? 2
Denis Mexted Posted February 21, 2023 Report Posted February 21, 2023 Where did you guys extract the part numbers for the aileron bearings? I assume by removing the bearing and reading it as the IPC seems not to have them. Ta.
