xavierde Posted December 8, 2020 Report Posted December 8, 2020 The display on my KX165 is not looking great and I managed to get a replacement one which I would like to try. My radio is a 28V and the display I got comes from a 14V unit. I believe the voltage for the display is the same but would feel better if an MSer could confirm before I give it a try. Thank you!

The displays are high voltage gas discharge displays. No matter which version of radio you have, it needs to internally generate the high Voltage. So the input voltage of the radio doesn't matter. 1
