JP Dice Posted March 2, 2020 Report Posted March 2, 2020 I always appreciate the insight this board provides. The light in my mechanical gear indicator on my J-model does not come on (well it does sometimes) which implies some sort of loose connection. Of course, with the light out it makes it difficult to see the mechanical indicator. I'm working with my mechanic to figure out how to access the connection. Has anyone had problems with this before and what was the solution besides getting a flashlight to see it ? Thanks! JP Dice N33YZ KBHM
bradp Posted March 2, 2020 Report Posted March 2, 2020 Bulb or ground. Panel is easily accessed voltmeter is your friend
Oldguy Posted March 2, 2020 Report Posted March 2, 2020 @JP Dice the other thing is to make sure the cover on the indicator is clean and clear. Over time, it will yellow and make it harder to see in dim light.
N201MKTurbo Posted March 2, 2020 Report Posted March 2, 2020 Take off the belly panels and you can get to it.
carusoam Posted March 3, 2020 Report Posted March 3, 2020 JP, When you get a chance update the data in your avatar area... This is where everyone puts their airplane model details... May be hard to see if using a phone... but we can see it... and won’t ask a bunch of times... Best regards, -a-
