Brian Tesar Posted July 29, 2019 Report Posted July 29, 2019 We recently purchased a 95 M20J MSE. We are looking to upgrade the original King GPS to the GNX375. We're trying to figure out what they manufacturer/part number on the following logic box may be to determine compatibility. Anyone have an idea? Brian Quote
Jerry 5TJ Posted July 29, 2019 Report Posted July 29, 2019 Perhaps Antiques Roadshow can identify it? Seroiusly—it was made by International Electronics (I think) and used with a KLN89. 1 Quote
Brian Tesar Posted July 30, 2019 Author Report Posted July 30, 2019 Ahh. International avionics. That is something to get me started. It's connected to a KLN90B and a KX-165. Quote
McMooney Posted July 30, 2019 Report Posted July 30, 2019 you probably wont' need it depending on the placement of your gps and hsi/cdi Quote
carusoam Posted July 30, 2019 Report Posted July 30, 2019 Many Mooneys of the time started with an KLN89... And were upgraded shortly afterwards with a 90B... Annuciators were common, needed or not... in VMC, the KLN90B doesn’t announce very well on its own... unless you are staring directly at it, waiting for your waypoint to arrive... If you are looking out the windows get big flashing lights and sounds for best notification... Best regards, -a- Quote
kortopates Posted July 31, 2019 Report Posted July 31, 2019 You’ll neither need nor want that with a modern GPS.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
