Thanks, David.  I'm quite pleased with the plane and I'll make a "new to me" post with some other photos... and with a few questions... like, "what does this knob do?"  

The photos in the Controller listing were pretty accurate and all-in-all it was a positive and painless process.  The previous owner did some nice things to the plane and Freedom Aviation in Lynchburg took good care of it.  I understand the owner lost his medical and for that I felt bad, and wish him well...  but she's coming to a home where she'll be used and appreciated.  I found a few squawks on the trip home, but nothing big at all.  I really couldn't be more pleased.
