Gary0747 Posted October 21, 2018 Report Posted October 21, 2018 I cant seem to find anything in the Brittian manuals we have here on Mooneyspace that explains what this is? Is it simply an elactrical switch that overrides the inputs to the Accutrack allowinng voltage deviation inputs from a dg or HSI capable of interfacingwith an autopilot?
takair Posted October 22, 2018 Report Posted October 22, 2018 Accuflight is for using the heading bug, with or without Accutrak. With only Accuflight, the aircraft should turn to and track the heading bug. With Accutrak on as well, the heading bug can be used to perform 45 degree intercepts and provides better cross wind correction than Accutrak alone. You simply use the heading bug to help correct the crosswind. Once you are familiar, it does better than Accutrak alone. 1
