Does anyone remember Blue Mountain Avionics?

Recently reading the article about the forthcoming liberalization of FAA certification policies made me wonder if this company would have stayed in business or if some other their products could be resurrected (Highly unlikely).  They seemed to be pretty cutting edge with their stuff 10+ years ago, even incorporating synthetic vision technology.  Does anyone have any experience with them?

They were troubled on the experimental side. So I'm not sure they would have stayed in business no matter what.

Have a few friends who were left with units that were unserviceable after spending a few AMUs. 

Dynon and other providers offered some trade in discount.

That's a shame, they looked like nice units.
