Interesting.. I noticed $1600 for a Bose Headset.. Probably the only thing I noticed that has gone in pricing..lol  Not sure what the interface unit expense portion is, but a new Bose A20 is what $1050 +/- now a days. I don't have to worry about interpreting the details in this invoice. I'm pretty sure I'll never see a new Mooney invoice in my future.

Just keep trying to make the old as new as we can and keep on flying.

What great insight into days past. The avionics package cost a bundle yet didn't contain much, although the KNS 81 must have accounted for most of the cost. The KFC 150 also cost a lot. The one option that's listed which I wish I had is the altitude/VS  preselect.

Very cool.  Really unbelievable how much the KFC 150 was! In today's dollars, total cost is around 700,000.  I guess it makes sense!

Prices went up a lot during 1993. Serial number 150's invoice is below.

Wow! Wish we could still get a new bravo for 300k! Can't forget though that is probably 650-700k in today's dollars. Very cool to see though

Not really that much more or less than S-TEC 55X once you add all the bells and whistles and KFC150 is still a vastly superior autopilot when you really need an autopilot. I've seen an S-TEC 55X be about 1/4 miles of on final at 200' when really windy. Never had that issue with KFC150. When it worked and that was the issue most of the time. It was truly a pinnacle of discreet circuitry design, but it pushed too many areas to the absolute edge.
