Protecting Plastic Windows

Does anybody use wax or something else to protect your plastic windows from abrasions caused by cloth fuselage covers?

I use a mixture of turtle wax liquid and water for cleaning works real well my cover has an inner lining for the glass areas I'm pretty sure most of them do. I wouldn't buy one that didn't

I don't put anything on the windows except Plexus and terry cloth. When traveling, my canopy cover has special padding on the inside for the windows.

Mine has the fleese padding also but I find over time parked in Arizona that it all collects dust which I think is abrasive even with fleese padding.

See if your cover supplier can help you with a more sand resistant material than the fleece.  You would probably be better without anything than something that collects dirt.  

You may also find draping something over the top like a foam rod may provide the separation you are looking for...

Just some ideas, my cover has some man-made soft liner but it probably would collect sand too to some extent.

Wash the cover, wax/coat the windshield seems to be the best combo.
