OR75 Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 Tired of the device not recognized message and the interferences. Anyone installed a TA 102 USB charger ? It is FAA approved . expensive compared to simple cigarette lighters adapters I have had mixed results with cigarette lighters adapters . Lots of interference with audio when they work Quote
jrwilson Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 Mine is a simple cigarette adapter. Works great and no interference that I can hear. Quote
gsengle Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 I've installed it. Just tired of so many wires in cramped cockpit and long plugs out of the cigarette lighter socket hitting the passenger yoke... Works as advertised... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
csarles Posted October 20, 2015 Report Posted October 20, 2015 Had one installed recently. About 30 flying hours and it works as advertised. No noise and charges a phone and iPad nicely. Curt Quote
ryoder Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 I just found this. http://youtu.be/8uhh4uttpOg the MD93 USB with chrono. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/inpages/mcicharger10-05774.php I kind of want one now. I wish it had OAT though. Quote
N601RX Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 There is a guy on beechtalk who sells these. The problem I see with them is that the phone and other device manufactures keep upping the charging current. To begin with it was .5 amps, then 2.1 and now I believe some are using around 3 amps.
