I've been researching Mooney's for a while and think I want to eventually get either an E or a J model.  Trouble is, I haven't ever seen one in person, let alone sat in or flown one.  I'm a 100hr pilot with most of my time in a Warrior.  Are there any folks on here in the Northeast Oklahoma area, or does anyone know of a Mooney pilot in the area that wouldn't mind sharing knowledge with a noob?

If you wander over to the airport at Sand Springs (KOWP, one of the best-kept aviation secrets in the area), you'll find that six or seven Mooneys live there, mostly older models, including at least a couple of E-types (including mine). There's also a sort-of-resident A&P/IA who works on most of them and is quite knowledgeable. While I'm not exactly mentor material, I'd be happy to talk to you sometime.

Thanks Mike!  I'm happy to drive out to Pogue sometime.  I used to ride my bike around the north end of the field once a week.  I'll PM you my phone number.
