Thanks to all of you for the help! Taking it back again as the mech adjusted the fuel flow and pressure during the annual. We are checking that and the timing. Will let you know

I should have added if the timing is advanced EGTs go down and if retarded they go up.

On my io360 it was mistakenly set at 20 instead of 25degrees and it cost 7kts and egt rose by 50 degrees at all power levels.

The you have 1/3 more cylinders so if 7kts were multiplied by 33% we'd have about 10kts or so...I might be off. Lots of other good ideas on here. A lot of years of experience on this thread.

Have you seen any improvements?

How are your EGT and CHT at 27.2 GPH? I needed 30.6 GPH at sea level to get the my EGT and CHT in line. If I climb and start leaning when my EGT start getting down to 1250 I will not get to 27.2 GPH until I'm at 5500'. This is climbing at 2700 rpm.

I truly doubt the filter and fuel governor adjustment are the culprits...  2 years after my factory refurb that cost the speed, and the factory had already shutdown, I sent my plane to Dugosh for an annual and they raised the issue that the fuel governor was out of whack; it got overhauled, readjusted, and the speed is still missing.  The timing had been checked and rechecked too, so that's not my issue either....

For reference tonight flying home from my office at 23.9/2300, 13.3 GPH, -25 LOP, 6500', 169 KTAS. I will be flying again tomorrow and Friday if you have some setting you want me to try out.

check gear door rigging--make sure they are closed properly when retracted.
