Vacation with my pups. I hardly ever go anywhere without them. Now maybe I will take them EVERYWHERE! They handled it really well, a little freaked at takeoff but settled in quickly. Sarah was instrumental in comforting them. They kept their (heavily modified) 4pawsaviation hearing protectors on almost the entire time. At one point I noticed the big dog Coco looking out the window at Texas going by 7000 feet below... really looking... Kind of profound and endearing.

Did the dogs adapt well to the ear protection?. I've looked at the websites and I think the average price was $60. I would love to take my Boxer up with us, just not sure how well he would do with the muffs. Hate to drop $60 and him have them pulled off before I got the door closed. I'm sure with some practice he would be okay with them..I think..lol

Looks like you had a great trip. I've seen Jay's posts on POA Forum about his  hotel resort with the pilot theme, it looks pretty cool. How are the runway etc..is it all good?

My dogs took theirs off once each, figured out what the muffs were for and accepted them.  Standard poodles, they are pretty smart.  2000 rpm is also much quieter, and not too much slower.

Airport is pretty much standard. Tie down fee :-[ but not much, $5 or so /day.

4paws muffs seem to have better ear cups but the straps were almost useless on my dogs. Even with highly modified chin straps they required support and monitoring to remain in position even if the dogs did nothing. In my opinion you are purchasing ear cups only. A sufficient head gear remains to be designed. We all know that earmuffs become almost totally ineffective if the seals are even slightly compromised. I'm thinking that custom headgear in the form of some kind of mesh fabric helmet to secure the ear cups might be the only way to achieve an effective seal, at least on my dogs heads.
