rturbett Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 Anyone in Northern Ohio up to this? My sister is a photographer/ travel writer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer. She is interested in doing a story on where pilots fly for their $100 hamburger. This would be a nice opportunity to get your planes photo in the paper, as well as a great opportunity to promote general aviation. Please list some of your favorite destinations, and pm me if you would like to be part of the story. Rob Turbett Quote
mooneyman Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Hi Rob, I am based at DAY in Dayton, Ohio. We like to fly to Ann Arbor, Mi (ARB) and go to Zingerman's deli. They have unbelieveable sandwiches. We also sometimes fly to French Lick, Indiana (FRH). There is a restaurant called Hagen's at one of the resort's golf courses that has great ribs. Resort provides shuttle transport to and from the airport. Each of these trips is around an hour. We may make the Ann Arbor trip on Sun Jun 20. Let me know if she is interested in the story.
