'90 M20J MSE Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 I bought my 20J 4 month ago with de-installed fuel flow gauge. Regarding my POH it must be a digital one ( factory installed) Anybody has one for sale? Quote
carusoam Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 It may help if you have the two part numbers...? FT101 is possibly the display and the in line sensor may have it's own name? Where are you located? Trying to help, -a- Quote
MooneyBob Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 It depends how fast you need it. I am going to get a engine monitor with the fuel so I could have one from my plane. It's FT101 but I don't know what kind of sensor it has. I should know by the end of the week. Quote

I do not have the parts #, but my POH says it is the FT101! So what I need is the display and the fuel flow transducer. It depends how fast you need it. I am going to get a engine monitor with the fuel so I could have one from my plane. It's FT101 but I don't know what kind of sensor it has. I should know by the end of the week. MooneyBob, I will leave Florida by the end of next week (21st). Please drop a PM when you know when yours is available! Quote
jetdriven Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 I dont think a fuel flow gauge is required equipment under FAR 91.205. Quote
carusoam Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Would that be the TOMATOFLAMES one Byron? Best regards, -a- Quote
jetdriven Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Would that be the TOMATOFLAMES one Byron? Best regards, -a- Yeah I think so. You should be able to placard it inop and roll on. Quote
carusoam Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Of course, Germany may be different... Best regards, -a- Quote
'90 M20J MSE Posted February 12, 2014 Author Report Posted February 12, 2014 It is not required as well in Germany, I could leave it inop. But I want to have a complete Mooney! 1 Quote
fantom Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 It is not required as well in Germany, I could leave it inop. But I want to have a complete Mooney! You must realize by now that no Mooney is ever 'complete'. Good luck with your fuel gauge. Quote
carusoam Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 In that case... Updates from JPI, EI and Insight make nice engine monitors and FF indicators in one panel mounted device and communicate those details to the GPS... Data download requires a memory stick, not the whole laptop... One day, wifi.....? Giving your Mooney the ability to determine its km/liter or distance until empty.... While you twist the red knob. FF remains important to the modern pilot. The added connectivity is modern in the new millennium kind of way! Of course the FT101 is still needed to fill the spot. Nobody likes the inop labels. Take a look at your panel to see if one of the monitors fits where the FT101 is??? Thinking out loud and best regards, -a- Quote
'90 M20J MSE Posted February 12, 2014 Author Report Posted February 12, 2014 I already bought a JPI EDM 730, is it at home in my stash together with a GNS 530, a GNS 430, a GTX 330 and a GMA 340. Those avionics will be installed in March/April and lead to a nice upgrade of my Mooney!!! Anyway the FT 101 will fill the spot, current there is a weird looking strap of duck tape :-( Quote
DaveAnderson Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Hi there, I have a FT 101 that I just pulled out of my plane. Do you still need one? Quote
