tsuttles Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 Looking for a few pieces that may be in a dirty dusty box in the back of your hanger. I am sure their are a lot of people looking for the same parts. Brittain Accuflite complete system or parts: Brittain DG adapter BI 818 P/N 280-003-500 Brittain Altitude Hold complete system or parts BI-704 P/N 11300 which is made up of P/N 12000 and 11674 Any ideas of leads of who might have some of these parts please help. I have been on the waiting list at Brittain for some time and I am in weekly contact with Ceci and Jerry. Any help much appreciated!! Quote
Skypylott Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 I have been on waiting list for altitude hold system from Brittain for like 3years or maybe a little longer, not sure it will ever happen. Didn't have any trouble getting an AccuFlite and AccuTrak system plus the HSI interconnect though. Unfortunately I had a nose gear collapse on my M22 Mustang this past Thursday. Not sure what will be it's fate with insurance company if it will somehow get fixed or sent to salvage yard somewhere:-( Tom Quote
scottfromiowa Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 There are a couple G502A Gyro's up on Ebay right now... Good luck, Scott Quote

It was really good to hear that you had a Mustang up and going. Did the nose gear casting let go? How bad is the damage? Any chance of getting one of the other grounded Mustangs and making a complete one? Quote
tsuttles Posted December 9, 2013 Author Report Posted December 9, 2013 Thanks everyone, I have seen the ebay listings and are watching them closely. The DG adapter seems to be the hard part to find. The altitude hold units on ebay just be careful because they don't have the actual control module face nor the servo that Brittain says they are building new. Although it does not make me feel warm and fuzzy that Sky has been waiting for 3 years.... Tim Quote
N33GG Posted December 9, 2013 Report Posted December 9, 2013 I too have been on the waiting list for years. I hope Brittain comes through for all of us eventually. My airplane has the Accutrac II tied to a Garmin 430W, and it flies extremely well for such a simple system, whether on GPS, VOR, or Localizer. All I need is the altitude hold to really have a nice system. It is a great example of KISS! Quote

Have you found a way with the AccuTrac to have HDG hold with the 430W since you don't have the Accuflite system. I was thinking if it was following the 430 commands why could you not use OBS and set a heading until you were cleared to proceed on course. Just thinking out loud... Quote

Just thinking out loud...You could do it for slight changes, my guess is under 10 degrees. Beyond that it would take quite some time to re establish. Quote
