Schinderhannes Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 I had never any problems with my old Windows 7 laptop, but when I tried to download data from the EDM700 today using my new Windows 8 laptop it didn't work. Has anybody used Windows 8 and Ezsave sucessfully. Are there any tricks or setting one has to use? I hate Windoes 8... Frank
Bob_Belville Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 I have a W8 laptop and use EZTrends2 which I had been using on my last (XP) laptop. Even though the documentation did not show it, EZTrends2 works fine with my EDM 930. I did recently download the latest rev of EZT which is Version 2.2 Build 19. I use the memory stick to pull data from EDM and do not connect the laptop directly to the EDM. Perhaps your 700 is different.
Bob - S50 Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 Another option is to sign up for (free) and use the savvyanalysis.com website. Put the data on your stick, upload to the website, look at the graphics. Easy to use and free. Bob
Schinderhannes Posted November 18, 2013 Author Report Posted November 18, 2013 The EDM 700 has a serial port and I use a usb to serial converter. The computer connects to the EDM and shows the transfer of data, but right at the end an error code is displayed and no data is saved.

What is the error message you are seeing?
Schinderhannes Posted November 18, 2013 Author Report Posted November 18, 2013 I heart back from JPI: EZSAVE is NOT compatible with Windows 8, sorry.
