  1. I have some used avionics that were removed working from a BN2A Islander in 2017. I ended up with them after the charter company closed doors in 2019. There is no paperwork on these. Shipping will be from Canada. Prices in USD: Garmin GNC250XL - $1500+ shipping Garmin GMA 340 - connector on rear of tray bent - $1000 + shipping King KX-155 no glideslope - note, I used this in an aircraft I ferried in Sept 2023 and it worked flawlessly - the display is perfect. $1000 + shipping typical disclaimer - no warranties express or implied, no holds, first come first serve, etc. I’m happy to entertain offers! Blaine
  2. My factory installed Symphony intercom quit in the middle of my PPP flight today. I’m looking for your input on repairing it or getting a new audio panel wit intercom built in. Garmin or PS Engineering? I have a GTN 750 in the panel already
  3. soon to be removed for an upgrade. The beautiful PS Engineering PMA7000M-S audio/marker beacon panel from 1999 M20R/S Ovation. Excellent working condition. Like new. Available soon. Includes tray, connectors and manual. Offered here first to a fellow Mooney owner. No asking price, Make an offer. Image can be seen in my photo album. TomK
  4. I just ordered this today from Chase at Avionics Source @Avionics Source. Looks awesome and he has them available. http://www.ps-engineering.com/PMA450B.shtml
  5. When I began upgrading the panel in my twin cessna I added a PMA 8000 G audio panel. I chose that model because it had the USB charge outlet- handy for phones and ipads and the auto squelch function. Now after flying with it for 6 months, my wife wanted a PMA 8000 G in the Mooney that she flies. She can't live without the auto squelch and the bluetooth music. So I pulled a perfectly good Garmin 340 audio panel out of the Mooney and replaced it with the PMA 8000. Happy wife, happy life. So the Garmin 340 audio panel is for sale. It works perfectly and is still supported by Garmin. I looked at ebay and the various outlets and see that they are selling for minimum $750-800. I am offering it for $700 if anyone on the Twin Cessna on Mooney forums want it. If not I will post it on ebay. First one gets it. Email me at jeffa@iglou.com Regards, Jeff
  6. I've decided to get rid of the last piece of Garmin equipment in my airplane. I'm replacing it with the Avidyne audio panel as everything else I have is Avidyne. Works perfectly, I just want an all Avidyne setup. $750 including shipping. [I'll get better photos at the airport tomorrow but this was from about six months ago.]
  7. I own a 1966 M20 E and when I bought the plane five years ago it came IFR certified with pretty much the original panel. Since then, I have added an EI MVP-50 to it, removing most of the original engine gauges and such along with the DME and ADF. The later two removals were in anticipation of a WAAS GPS system, but that has yet to materialize. The original panel included the ADF, but ADF is fast disappearing from US approaches. As such, I am left with dual VORs, one of which has GS. The original panel came equipped with a marker beacon receiver and an audio panel for switching two radios and the ADF. Since the pilots yoke is equipped with a second-hand precision (Wakmann/Brietling) clock, I will argue that this aircraft was built and sold for IFR flying. Additionally, pitot heat, which some master CFII's will contend is the most important piece of IFR equipment, was included as well as a huge vacuum gauge right in the center of the panel. The PO added a backup vacuum system that runs off the intake manifold. What puzzles me is why there is so much fuss over the "six-pack" panel. If a guy bought this plane back in '66 and flew it for years IFR with the panel layout as it was, why would redoing the panel now make any difference? Here is what I have: The "scan" is very important to the IFR pilot. With this panel, you scan the ASI, AI and DG across the top. Then the TC, Altimeter and VSI along the bottom. You can't miss the vacuum gauge and the VOR/GS is only looked at enroute and during an approach. So, what's the problem with this?
  8. I have the following items for sale. Condition is disclosed for each. Buyer pays the freight. KNS 80 NAV system - Screen was flickering when removed. Operating Condition is unknown. Make an offer. If it does not work for your intended purpose, you will only be out the freight of getting it and sending it back. KMA 24 Marker Beacon Receiver and Isolation Amplifier - Working order when removed last week. $350.00 (cheaper than any of them on Ebay) Bendix King KI 202 VOR / LOC Receiver - $200.00. Was working when removed. If it does not work when you get it I will refund money and you are only out the shipping both ways. Bendix King KI 227 ADF Indicator and KR 87 ADF with antenna - Sold separately or together. Make an offer. KR 87 needs a new screen - It was not working when removed so I cannot verify if the indicator was working. It may just need a new screen. However, it looks to be in good condition. PS Engineering PM 1000 panel mount intercom - working flawlessly when removed. $200.00. KS 270 Pitch Servo - not working. This would be for spare parts only for someone rebuilding a servo. Plastic case is also broken or cracked. Make an offer.
  9. I have been lurking here for some time but never had the opportunity to post in response to a technical question pertaining to intercoms or audio panels. My name is Mark Scheuer and I founded PS Engineering in 1985. What has prompted this post is we just announced the certification and shipments of the PMA450 audio panel. Two of the most significant functions of the panel is that is has IntelliAudio and a 3 Softkey Interface with graphics display. It is also plug and play with the Garmin GMA340. If anyone has any questions about this new product, I'd be delighted to answer them. I don't want this to come across as too much of a brash advertisement, but I think the enhancements that this audio panel beings to the GA cockpits warrants at least a mention. Sincerely, Make Scheuer PS Engineering, Inc. www.ps-engineering.com
