Who is worried about the future of general aviation internal combustion engine aircraft? I have concerns about what the future holds with regard to avgas burning light craft. The two biggest concerns are what will the future valuations look like if fuel prices rise dramatically and also the cost of operation. Car manufactures are pivoting to electric at a rapid pace with HUGE agendas for close to total electrification by 2030 for many. Both GM and Ford (among the other big guys ) are really rolling out the agenda. Will governments push their populations into car electrification by huge gasoline fuel prices increases with knock on effects for light aircraft? Will existing internal combustion light aircraft give way to newer electric aircraft, with an off the cliff dive of light aircraft prices as demand dries up? Interested in any informed predictions and timelines...

Hello, I'm looking to buy an M20S, with Screaming Eagle STC (or add it). 1) Do you know of any for sale that you would recommend? 2) Any advice to me as I evaluate planes that are for sale? Especially as it relates to this particular model / STC? Thanks!

My 280 HP Eagle does 180 kts at gross weight. I expect it to do 190+ since the Ovation at 280HP and higher gross weight (3200 VS 3368 for Ovation) claims to do over 190 kts. I have a HTZ three bladed prop. Can anyone shed some light on this? My climb rates are as good as the numbers in POH for Ovation.

Allow me the honor of providing this forum advance notice of our latest MT Composite Prop upgrade STC. 74" diameter, 4-blade, Scimitar shape, Composite Propeller for all Mooney M20 R, S & TN models. The STC is approved to include those aircraft with engine performance upgrades. 24v hot prop or fluid de-ice options are available. The fluid de-ice system is compatable with existing FIKI systems. Our test ship was a very heavy M20TN with every possible option and we saw improvements in take off, climb and cruise compared to the 3-blade Hartzell that was tested against. The prop reduced noise inside and out and also reduced the high power operating temps. The base kit includes the prop with Kevlar spinner and STC for $14,540. De-ice options, assembly, crate and shipping are extra. Orders are being taken now for February delivery.
