  1. I land with speed brakes all the time. sometimes controllers ask what they are.
  2. Yeah that's true. My mooney emblem did come off for me to do that. I was never a fan of the older style logo anyways. Now my plane is decked out with the newer logo all over it.
  3. Why not just put it on a ram mount on the yoke. That's what I do for my larger 696. It's cross filled to my 530w and even have a deditcated xm radio switch on the panel. it's my fav pice of avionics. It will save you some money on the install cost and all the info is right in your face.
  4. Congrats. It's a great feeling. I wish you all the best.
  5. I have the 696 attached to a ram mount. I can live without my 530W and alot of my other toys but will not give up the 696. If you look at my gallery there is a pic on it. A little big but so worth it.
  6. Quote: GaryP1007 How about the Turbo Arrow III or IV? 170kts at altitude.
  7. There is a great review on all the specifics on the Mooney M20J vs. the turbo arrow. They had to review the turbo arrow because the normalized version does not even come close. http://www.planecheck.com/turboarrow.htm
  8. Thank you Mitch. I really appreciate it. You really are the best. All of your recommendations are gold.
  9. This posting just alerted me to this 500hr SB. I never knew about this before. I have 600hrs on my engine with slicks. I really do not know much about how this process works but does anyone know if it is possible to get same day service on this? If not is there one shop that is considered the best at this service where you can send in your mags? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  10. 9 Weeks to do an annual and an additional 4 items? I’d be more upset about this. I honestly do not know much about the magneto inspection. I have slick mags and am a little over this inspection apparently. I’m curious what others say on this.
  11. This reminded me of the previous thread about if you can cause damage by pulling on your prop. Could this have been done by someone pulling on the props? Or the significance of owners to get their props balanced. I am getting myne balanced Saturday. Anyway it's interesting. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/technology-blog/watch-helicopter-destroyed-physics-without-even-leaving-ground-224458312.html
