  1. Good video. Very interesting.
  2. Retired Army Helicopter pilot. Currently a Helicopter EMS pilot that owns a Mooney!!
  3. Picked up a Whelen Par 46 and wing-tip stobes and anti-smash light for my 68 G @ Sun-n-Fun this year. Aircraft is in annual and all are being installed.
  4. Nicely said Gary
  5. I had this happen a few times with the seat belts that came with it. I got the Amsafe w/ shoulder harness. No more problems. It seems like the piece that goes on the inside is a little longer than the original ones I pulled out.
  6. Last year I emailed AirBoss for more info about the program but never got a response.
  7. Great Blog!! Read it all while at work and not flying(It's IFR, VFR program). Sounds really awesome. Hope to be able to do that one day. Many thanks for the story!!!
  8. You may also try giving Lasar a call.
  9. There is a mechanic/pilot in Marianna,Fl that has the tools. He may loan them to you(not sure) if you fly down there. His name is Walter Marques. Dont have his number handy but check with the FBO or the EMS helicopter folks. He flies for them on the side!!
  10. Anyone know if there is going to be any good deals at Sun N Fun this year? I know it might be a bit early to be asking?
  11. Welcome to the club. I'm based in ZPH!! There is a lot of knowledge here. If you cant find it just ask.
  12. Bartow has a new restaurant. I have tried a couple of differenr things on the menu. Not too bad. Runway 9/27 Cafe is the new name with a different owner.
  13. Thats why I just changed my gear up socket at the last annual. It was probably the original, and was cheaper than have a gear up/collapse inspection done!!
  14. The holes are already there. At least in my G model. when I redone the interior, I had all the panels off and noticed that the holes were there. Used a hole finder to line up the panel and drilled the hole. I had the upholsetry guy make me a handle that matched the seats. Dont forget the flat sided washers or the material may pull away from the screw..
  15. Ok, The did not look at name when signing in got me. That is my comments using Jetdriven log in??? Sorry. But the Spoty 400is a handy piece of equipment as backup
  16. You may have to go to Garmin and download the PDF file for the maintenance page setup. At work we have the 530W/430W setup also. When we get it back from maintenance we always have to re-congigure our gps's. Still can't figure out why the maintenance guys have to mess with them and then we have to set them up again!!!! Geeezz!! And Gary also has a good point.
  17. Glad no one was seriously injured!!
  18. Cant figure out how to edit. The center peice for in between the seats is about 1/4 inch to wide on bothe sides due to the finish/stitching of the carpet. I just hand stitched it tucked underneath. And got out the hole for the gear lock-down latch.
  19. Scott, I had to ask for that piece that goes inbetween the 2 front seats. Initially they gave me a hard time but I finally convinced them that my G model did not have the plastic. PS: I still owe you some pics of my redone interior!
  20. Welcome to MooneySpace!! Thanks for serving this great country! (as I am a retired Apache pilot.) There is a thread on one of the forums that has ball park figures, I will try to get the link. Also AOPA has something similar. There are some nice F models out there in that price range with decent avionics. F models had a choice of electric gear or the Johnson bar manual gear depending on the year. I own a G model with a Johnson bar and love it! What will your profile be? Solo, family, business? Oh and welcome to the vintage Mooney Panel!! Mooneys are awesome cross country machines.
  21. Nice looking plane there Parker!!!!
