  1. Wow ! I have that plane in my possession this morning [emoji15] It was a faulty cabin pressure controller. It's being test flown this morning to 370. Sorry to hear your daughter had to experience that
  2. Wow. Just saw the death of one of our ExpressJet fo's on our company home page from yesterday. It was this Accident. Sad deal
  3. It might be a long shot, but as you've gone through quite a bit already, I have found leaks (in a fuel system) using vacuum as opposed to pressure ; air would go in via vacuum, but no fuel out. (I believe this was in a cessna) Your pressure vs. flow sounds like air (although not fluctuating at the same time, but still not impossible as the reference points are usually far apart) . Last year I was alarmed to see my fuel pressure sitting at zero a few minutes after takeoff, and my newly installed G3 showing something like 38 GPH with an O-360, My initial panic was that the fuel jettison was turned on, but mine was not so equipped. The boost pump cleared it up within a minute or so, I could not find and leaks and I could not reproduce on ground, the next flight same thing but only a few minutes after takeoff. The fuel flow indication returned to normal numbers long before the pressure returned to normal after turning on boost pump, The suspect was the engine driven pump was either sucking air, or in itself pumping air along with fuel. Air bubbles in a flow transmitter will alter the readings quite a bit. Changed the pump out and pressure increased, and problem gone for good.

  6. I got into a discussion with a local freelance mechanic that named every reason he hates Mooney's, I stopped listening at some point.. *They're 25 grand because know body want them so everyone who cant afford a real airplane can buy one. *A friend of his almost killed himself changing the gear donuts when the c clamp and safety wire he was compressing with let loose. *..those same donuts are life limited to a year now, so theres an automatic $1300ish per annual, so he read somewhere. (????) *there's no room to work on any of the flight controls *a fellow mechanic cut himself working on one *the wings are hard to take off *you have to have some special tools to accomplish certain tasks (because the others don't?) he went on and on
  7. Congrats !!! I look forward to posting the same soon !
  8. My newly revamped instrument cluster with CYA100 indicator in the center. Been painfully slow getting her done but will be worth it.
  9. Based on the picture of the blade I'd say the prop needs looking at.
