  10. Great news. Keep up the practice and don't forget to keep those speeds in mind. The minute you think that you can land that baby at 90 kts is the time you are going to float and bounce. They are wonderful airplanes. You are very lucky. Join MAPA and keep us up to date.
  11. I actually got the Mite bug after the Chino show. This is sort of funny because we hang out a lot with Ed Mandibles and his Mooney Mite. But I decided that we really did not need a third Mooney. However the Western Association of Mooney Mites annual gathering is this weekend 10/11-10/13 in Lompoc, California. Fun times, all welcome!!

  17. Mooney Ambassador Events September 19-21, Wings Over Wine Country, Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport KSTS Santa Rosa, California presented by the Pacific Coast Air Museum (PCAM). The air show is attended by over 20,000 over the weekend. PCAM is one of the rare museums that let you sit in the cockpit of their aircraft. They do a great job of attracting top air show talent, military demonstrations, static displays, general aviation and classic war birds. My first year showing my Mooney I was surprised at how many kids wanted to sit in the plane and pretend they were a pilot. It was non-stop almost all day. I got one break when the biplane owner next to me let me sit in his ship. It turned out to be WWII Ace Bud Anderson. I had no idea the entire time I talked with him that he was Bud! For complete information about the show go to: http://www.wingsoverwinecountry.org For information about the museum go to: http://www.pacificcoastairmuseum.org Martha Curoso is the static display coordinator for the air show. You can email her at MarthaStaticAirshow@live.com with your questions and the proper forms. Our airport is undergoing major construction. The date of this air show has been moved back. Be sure to check the NOTAMS for any up-to-date information as the taxiways are changing on a weekly basis. Point Person: Scott Peterson. This club serves DeLorean owners and enthusiasts in central and southeast Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Come see the sharp-edged vehicles of the air and ground! *Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children*, and includes access to the Museum, static aircraft and vehicle displays, and supervised access to the ramp when open. *Admission is waived for visitors who fly in, or who drive in with a classic car*. If conditions permit, we suggest that you request this runway so that you may have a shorter taxi time. 18. It looks like we might have both display aircraft, not sure. We really need folks who can work the booth, talk Mooney, help with kids activities. Here is more information from the event organizer: Each aircraft that is displayed will need to add TSTC, 3801 Campus Drive, Waco, TX 76705 as an additional insured. This is required by the college as it’s state funded. Please have them email the certificate to me so that I can provide it to the school. I will email a site plan and set up instructions late next week. We have check in and set up Friday, the 26th, from 9am-3pm. I will need to know the number of volunteers you have working the booth for wristbands. Typically we provide 3. If you need more please let me know. If you plan to arrive on Saturday morning we will be there at 7:00am. Your pilots will need to contact the tower on arrival and will be guided to your area by CAF Flight Marshallers. The event opens at 10am so all should be in place no later than 9:30am. No vehicles will be allowed on the ramp after 9am through the end of the event at 6pm. Your tent will need to be secured and weighted to the ramp. Please note we will have aircraft arriving that morning as well and to anticipate traffic. Obviously Saturday morning will be an extremely busy time. Once you arrive, please have someone come to the Event Information Tent to check in and receive your wristbands. We look forward to having you! Debby Standefer THE Heart Of Texas Airshow D&D Marketing Concepts Inc. | President & CEO 303.862.2869 Direct
