    Grant, two suggestions. 1) Find the best guy for the IO-360 and pay a bit to have him weigh in. Not sure which shop specializes in that engine. 2) Send to Lycoming for their input.

    Sound thoughts. Over the past 20 years of flying I have made it a habit to try each year to fly with a different CFII. Didn't accomplish it every year but got darn close. Always learned a new thing but as you mentioned, it was always a confirmation I was still on my game. As we age this becomes ever more important.

    No, I was just asking the question before I start using Camguard on the recommendation of the A&P. I am sure hoping I don't fall victim as you have described. I need to figure out which starter I have.

    We are hoping for a good turnaround this Sat at Fort Pierce. looks like a beautiful day to fly.

    and just to clarify, I have not started using Camguard yet, but A&P is suggesting it after new jugs got installed after 3.5 months
