  1. Have an Acclaim in pre-buy and some jug work is maybe in the cards. Got an IRAN price for just cylinders, remove, inspect, repair as needed and remount $17,000. Has anyone recently done a TOP with either new or O/H jugs? What kind of pricing. thx Scott
  2. Has anyone installed this unit or a competitor in the recent past? How do they work? Cost installed? Time frame?
  3. great idea on the additional outlet.
  4. Great link to icybreeze. much more economical, will check out the reviews. thx
  5. Good info Eric, appreciate it
  6. I appreciate your feedback. Good idea on the remote. I flew an 08 acclaim with a/c at ~85° and was not super impressed with the performance. So you don't use crushed ice if you can help it?
  7. Have an 08 Acclaim in pre-buy. No A/C or TKS. Live in SW FL so summer is tough. Evaluating the portable Yeti cooler a/c unit. Reviews online seem great. Anyone in the group own one? Thoughts on how best to operate? thx Scott
  8. yes thx, I miss spoke. Off of the data card which when I looked was not there unfortunately. Once I get the plane I can gather the data. Appreciate your info
  9. Hey thx for the offer. Plane is hitting the shop Wed, I will see if they can get the data off the g1000. Can you plug in settings like 29.5mp/2400rpm/15.6gph and get a % of power calculation? Seems like there is lots of opinions on how to arrive at a % power number. Thx!
  10. Grate info here Dan, I will definitely play with the slide bars. Quite an efficient plane.
  11. Thx Dan, it does not have TKS. So to make sure I follow, you reduce the TAS that FF shows for actual time in route? So I my case FF says, 211TAS, 5% (10.5kts) so round down to 200TAS. Flight time was 180 minutes so adding 5% gets me to 189 minutes. Appreciate your input.
  12. Built a profile in FF for an 07 with a/c. At 13000 FF says 211tas using the pre-built performance profile of: 30.5/2500/lean seems high by 10kts. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  13. No worries guys, I guess when the guy offering to go look at the plane tells me he is riding the bus, my BS meter goes up. Also, just came from the PA-46 world and we helped each other out all the time. Was in the Mooney family for many years, owned a J, R and Bravo. Times seem to have changed.
  14. What's with you people? Must be the new generation of pilots.
  15. Fortunately they are not even on my radar screen. I guess I will make a donation to their favorite charity
  16. Fellow pilots, so I have narrowed down my search on an Ovation3. Found a seemingly great plane and want to go see it. I am looking for someone who has the time and desire to fly me from Ft Myers FL area to the Raleigh NC area. Will cover fuel, meals etc. I am a 3000+ hr pilot with 1000 in Mooney's. Please contact me if you are interested or know someone. Next week would be ideal. Thx Scott
  17. That's great to know. Would enjoy meeting up with others. Text me at 406 839 1299. Appreciate you reaching out. Scott
  18. thx for the update, looking to take a new to me acclaim to the factory. Refreshing to see a firm deliver quality service
  19. Have owned a J, Bravo, Ovation3 and buying an Acclaim. Just moved to SWFL, looking forward to meeting other Mooney drivers in FL. Any FL events planned in the near future?
  20. Has anyone had an annual done at the factory in the recent past?
