  1. IO360-a3b6d roller tappets Case had about 500 hours, serviced through Divco. Crank and rod bearings. Crank needed no work Don’t have the case s/n available. Builder says “It is the latest bearing design” Primary reason for the post it to see if the story in my original post is true or a line of BS.
  2. A3B6D has been out for 2 1/2 years - long story, fretted case, corrosion throughout, etc, etc, etc. I’m now being told the German manufacturer of bearings stopped making them and none can be found. New manufacturer in FAA approval process. I have searched for information on this and find nothing. Anyone have any info or is it a line of BS I’m getting?
  3. Definitely need to include both inside and outside mix. I would also have a camera focused more closely on the map so the viewer can following along. I’m sure you already know you need to find a way to eliminate the load buzz in the audio. We watch a lot of YouTube videos and the ones we enjoy most show the outside more than the instruments and then a narration by the videographer including interesting information about the flight and the plane, along with the radio work. Keep it up!
  4. Dang - not what one wants to see in those pics! Hope the OH goes quickly and well.
  5. POH for my 1977 show below 135 kts. Serial #253
  6. I have the mini 6 with 256gb. I run both ForeFlight and Garmin Pilot and still have 174gb available. Can’t imagine filling it for quite sometime. I also use the Apple Pencil and love it.
  7. This didn’t happen without pictures
  8. Only thing I was thinking she could have done is told her dad to go to sterile cockpit - he was telling her what to do and seemed to cause a lot more stress than was necessary.
  9. You got your extra bladders installed? If so mind me asking total cost - you can PM if you like. May be an investment down the line….
  10. Careful here everyone - I received the following from someone who is not ZuluZulu:
  11. I’d take the glare shield light assembly - sent a PM
  12. In the MicroKit instructions, it actually says a breaker or a switched input in the audio panel. I connected mine to the unused switchable ADF (which I’m relabeled as LHS) on my 450b. Works like a charm. And for what it’s worth, I installed (under supervision) the entire unit myself in about 5 hours - would have been shorter but this was the first time I had removed side panels and glareshield. It’s really not a difficult job.
  13. They are tough to find right now - took me 8 months, hopefully things have loosened up. Best of luck.
  14. Premier in Troutdale, OR
  15. Living this nightmare currently. Engine delivered to rebuilder in October of 2022. Spent many months waiting on parts. Still waiting on assembly. In line behind all the engines that came in before mine during supply disruption. At this point I have no idea when I might fly again. Have owned since August 2022 and have a grand total of 30 on my plane. At this point in time, I would not get in line for a rebuild if the engine is in safe flying condition.
  16. Mine is a 77, let me know what you’d like and let’s make a deal. Only really need 1 but wouldn’t mind extras.
  17. Makes a guy appreciate scientific/technical minds. Hell, I can’t even get through the one page without going “huh?” Fun reading the smart people conversations.
  18. Looking for glare shield bulb holders?
  19. Was listening to a podcast the other day with Doug Stewart. I really like his take on VFR into IMC - it’s much like being lost. His take is the time to make the 180 is before you get into IMC. If that didn’t work then: 1. Full power and let the plane climb (mitigate terrain issues). Plane should climb at the same airspeed you are trimmed for so no need to pull or worry about stalling. 2. Confess - contact ATC 3. Comply - ATC should be able to vector you out of IMC better than we can guess were to go. 4. When making turns, keep bank angle at no more than 10 degrees. Of course it all goes out the window if you don’t have the ability to communicate or keep the plane wings level.
  20. We’re headed to watch Saturday and Sunday - can’t wait and will miss the event in the future.
